12 October 2011 Regionally-renowned entertainment, media and copyright lawyer joins DTB to head Media and Entertainment Department Divjak, Topic & Bahtijarevic (DTB) is pleased to announce regionally-renowned entertainment, media and copyright lawyer Kristina Delfin Kanceljak joined DTB this month and will head the newly formed Media and Entertainment Department. The firm’s expansion into this industry is the first of its kind in Croatia as entertainment and media law expertise combined with the resources of a major Croatian corporate law firm have not previously been available to provide clients with such a comprehensive package of services. Kristina has been a leader in media, entertainment, marketing, and copyright law participating in several working groups to develop laws shaping the landscape for independent artists, radio, television, and other media as well as copyright regulations in general. She was also appointed a member of two working groups negotiating Croatia’s accession to the European Union participating in the multi- and bilateral screenings regarding the chapters on intellectual property law and education and culture. In addition, Kristina regularly presents at workshops in Croatia and the Southeastern Europe region regarding entertainment, media and copyright law. Joining forces with Kristina, DTB plans to be a pioneer in providing comprehensive service by combining general corporate expertise with a highly specialized approach honed for major players of media, entertainment and marketing industry.
